Each year to kick-off the holidays underU4men holds its annual Sip-n-Shop. For several years, the store located in downtown Portlands’ West End has highlighted local makers. To add to the excitement, they invited a local Instagram Influencer @KidZombie as one of their fashion models.
Steven Lien, the owner of underU4men curated MAKERS across departments, offered in-store, fashion, accessories, and apothecary. The night featured Tighty Whitey Candle Company, Colty Fashion, Portland Razor, and Shine Distillery. The makers shared their stories and demonstrated their creations to over 350 customers in attendance. It was a fantastic success.
With a successful night, underU4men congratulates Colty Fashion, the hit of the runway during Portland FashionNXT. Colty designer Colton Helfecht’s was offed his first retail position. Maker Tighty Whitey Candle Company also received an in-store slot; they are a natural fit for underU4men with several masculine scented candles and soaps with packaging that fits the store. underU4men donated 100% of the nights’ sales of the handcrafted candles and soaps to the brands’ charity the U.S.O., a perfect way to support this veteran owned maker. Topping off the night, Shine Distillery owner Jon Poteet sampled the spirits his distillery located on North Mississippi, a perfect pairing to the bar mixers sold in the stores’ extensive men’s apothecary.
